“Wee update after isolating in her room for a few days following being sick and diarrhoea, after an amazing morning yesterday with strawberries, flowers and then the park – we had a bit of an emergency while playing on the slide, where her gripper git ripped out from her port needle and it ended up giving poor Lotus-Maeve a scratch down her chest. She then needed to come straight back to ward to have a new one fitted which didn’t quite go to plan. Following 3 attempts, they suceeded although we were left with a very upset girly. Today she is happy as ever, bouncing around causing chaos around the ward. She then went into the playroom, making lots of crafts with the art team to give me a wee break, as I have myself, gained a a neck injury yesterday – but slowly on the mend after being prescribed strong pain killers to help!”
