Tickets are set to go on sale for this summer’s piping in Grant Park – which has been rebranded as MacPiping Hot Forres. Organiser Andy Macdonald, who brought MacMoray Festivals to Elgin’s Cooper Park, was last month successful with a bid to return a piping event to Forres. The British Pipe Band Championships – to be branded as MacPiping Hot Forres – will take place at Grant Park on Saturday 8th June.
Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday 29th March at 9pm – with a special announcement price seeing the cost frozen at 2018 levels. This means adults will be £15, with Children considerably cheaper. With a total of 120 bands, over 4,000 pipers and between 15-20,000 spectators, this is sure to be the biggest event Forres has ever seen!
